R101

R101 is designed to introduce you to Riverdale. You’ll learn who we are, what we believe, and how to get involved. Over lunch, you’ll hear directly from Pastors Nate and Kylie as they share Riverdale Church’s history—along with its mission, vision, and future.

R202

R202 is your next step to dive deeper at Riverdale after attending R101. Over lunch, you’ll hear about what it looks like to serve, give, and step into membership at Riverdale Church. R202 is designed for those who want to get more involved and discover how they can play a meaningful role in our church family.

Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of and inward change. It’s a public declaration of how Jesus changed your life. Being baptized shows others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus and allows them to celebrate this decision with you (Acts 16:31-34).
Baptism doesn’t save a person; it’s a symbol and celebration of salvation (1 Peter 3:21). The power that brought Jesus back to life is the same power Jesus uses to change our lives– and that’s worth getting excited about!

Child Dedication

At Riverdale, we practice child dedication for children from birth through preschool. It allows parents to publicly commit to raising their children in a Christ-centered home, while the church family pledges to support them in this journey. Water baptism, on the other hand, is reserved for individuals who are capable of making a personal decision to follow Jesus.
